The ADP1614-650-EVALZ is an Evaluation Board for DC/DC and AC/DC (Off-Line) SMPS (switched mode power supply) applications. The board incorporates a high-power, 650V, 40A, double-output synchronous buck converter utilizing two ADP1614 devices.The ADP1614-650-EVALZ evaluation board provides a versatile demonstration platform for a wide range of DC/DC and AC/DC (Off-Line) SMPS applications. The board can be used to evaluate and verify the performance of the ADP1614, an 8 pin, 650V, 40A, high-power, double-output synchronous buck converter. The primary advantages of the ADP1614-650-EVALZ evaluation board include:• Versatile demonstration platform for a wide range of DC/DC and AC/DC (Off-Line) SMPS applications. • High-power, double-output synchronous buck converter. • 650V, 40A, 8 pin. • Easy to setup, configure and modify. • Replacement components available. The board is designed to enable users to quickly and efficiently configure, evaluate, and modify the component performances. The ADP1614-650-EVALZ evaluation board consists of pre-assembled components, jumpers, and resistors which can be used to quickly configure the board for a particular application. In addition, replacement parts are available for use in case of component failure or an application requiring a different operating condition. The ADP1614-650-EVALZ evaluation board utilizes the ADP1614, an 8 pin, 650V, 40A, high-power, double-output synchronous buck converter. The device is capable of converting a wide range of input voltages, from 4.5V to 20V, and can provide output voltages from 5V to 20V. The device is capable of delivering up to 40A of current and is designed to operate at switching frequencies up to 5MHz.The ADP1614-650-EVALZ evaluation board has a built-in input voltage level shifter which can be configured to shift the input voltage from the common 12V to the desired operation voltage. The device also includes an on-board soft start and power-on reset circuit which can be used to prevent the initial in-rush current from exceeding the maximum allowable levels. The ADP1614-650-EVALZ evaluation board can be used to simulate the operation of the ADP1614.
