Working Principle

When in the on state, the TVS diode dissipates the voltage excess caused by the over-voltage event, promptly driving the voltage down to a safe level and preventing any further transmission of current. Once the voltage excess is dissipated, the diode will return to its natural state of low resistance, re-establishing normal operating conditions and allowing the system to function properly.
