Gas Discharge Tube Arresters (GDT) have become increasingly important in industrial, commercial and consumer markets over the past decade due to their versatility and usefulness in protecting sensitive electronic equipment from the damaging effects of transient electrical disturbances. These disturbances can be caused by lightning, utility power faults, or even as the result of electromagnetic pulses from military, transportation or communications systems.
