Aluminum electrolytic capacitors are the most common type of capacitor due to their low cost, large capacity, long life and relatively high current tolerance. They are most commonly used in power supplies, decoupling, bypass and filtering circuits, as well as in signal conditioning and other high frequency applications.The 35ZLJ47M5X11 is a type of aluminum electrolytic capacitor manufactured by Shanghai Exhibition Electronics Co., Ltd., with some of the following characteristics: rated voltage (VR) of 25VDC, capacitance (CR) of 47µF, capacitance tolerance (CT) of ±10%, 4mmx5mm size, temperature range of -10℃ to +85℃, and more.Aluminum electrolytic capacitors have three major components: an electrolyte, an anode and a cathode. The electrolyte serves as a medium which allows ions to flow, the anode is typically made from aluminum foil and the cathode is either formed from a natural dielectric material or an artificial foil capacitor film.When a voltage is applied to the capacitor, electrons from the anode travel through the electrolyte and react with the electrolyte ions, forming a thin layer of aluminum oxide. This layer acts as a dielectric and stores an electric charge. The electric charge attracts electrolyte ions which are attracted toward the anode. This creates a higher electric field which increases the capacitance of the capacitor.The capacitance of an aluminum electrolytic capacitor is proportional to the surface area of the anode and the area of the dielectric layer separating the anode and cathode. The capacitance also increases when the electrolyte’s constant of dissociation is increased, and vice versa. As the voltage across the capacitor increases, the capacitance decreases. This is due to the fact that an increased electric field polarizes the dielectric layer and reduces its effective area.The 35ZLJ47M5X11 aluminum electrolytic capacitor is capable of handling peak current and is suitable for use in circuits that require a high capacitance and high ripple current capability. It is ideal for use in power supplies, decoupling and filtering circuits, as well as in signal conditioning and other high frequency applications.
