The AD5781BRUZ is a digitally controlled 16-bit current output DAC with a precision temperature-stabilised reference that offers ideal performance for industrial applications like temperature control, agricultural and automotive applications, automotive instrumentation and compression testing. The AD5781BRUZ is a 16-bit monopolar DAC and can be used for a wide range of voltage and current output for digital to analog conversion.
The AD5781BRUZ is a versatile DAC allowing for precision current and/or voltage output control over both a balanced and unbalanced bridge power configuration. It is temperature-stabilised reference buffered using an integrator to provide up to 1mA current output with a resolution of 0.5 mV. The DAC can operate in the TTL/CMOS voltage range of 0V to 5V with a TTL data throughput of 1 MHz. The reference voltage (V REF ) input is available on the ADC5800 and is externally adjustable by the user, therefore providing a wide range of V REF adjustment range.
The DAC supports a wide range of voltage and current outputs, including bipolar output ranging from 0 to ±2.5V and up to 4mA. It also includes a 16-bit high-precision temperature compensated DAC that features a low noise and low temperature drift of 0.001%. The AD5781BRUZ also comes with an integrated linearity trim feature for easy digital trimming of the ramp and step responses.
The working principle of the AD5781BRUZ is based on the use of a binary weighted DAC architecture. It comprises a DC network of fixed resistor elements connected between the reference voltage and ground, together with the internal DAC output buffer.
