It is a low cost, compact temperature sensor that is suitable for temperature measurement from -55°C to +105°C. Ideal applications of the transducer include industrial, medical, and consumer temperature sensing and control.The AD592AN features a low cost zinc sulfide (ZnS) or GaAs LED reference diode that is used as the sensing element, and a transimpedance amplifier/comparator that is monolithically integrated within the sensor. This combination not only provides an accurately calibrated linear output voltage that is proportional to ambient temperature, but also provides excellent temperature accuracy and stability with drift rates as low as 20ppm/°C.
