Temperature sensing technology has evolved steadily over the years in both accuracy and sophistication, and today’s temperature sensors are better than ever. Today, temperature sensors serve a wide range of applications where temperature needs to be accurately measured and controlled. One of these temperature sensors is the AD592CN.The AD592CN temperature sensor is an analog sensor that provides linear-scale temperature values with excellent accuracy and precision. It uses a CMOS (Complementary Metal-Oxide Semiconductor) process to produce the temperature measurement with extreme accuracy over a wide temperature range.The AD592CN temperature sensor is used in applications where accuracy and precision are important, such as in medical, automotive, and industrial processes. It can provide accurate temperature readings over a wide range of temperatures, from -50 to +150° C. The device also has a high resolution of 0.0098° C, making it ideal for use in precision temperature sensing applications.The AD592CN temperature sensor operates by measuring resistance of thermistors in different temperature environments. The thermistor is a variable resistor whose resistance changes with temperature. This allows for a highly accurate, consistent temperature sensor. The NTC thermistors are placed in an integrated PCB with a temperature coefficient of -4%/°C. The thermistors are connected to the inputs of the AD592CN, which is the measuring circuit. The circuit is designed to produce a signal proportional to the difference between the thermistor resistance and an external reference resistor. This signal is then amplified and converted to a linear-scale output voltage proportional to temperature. The output voltage range of the AD592CN extends from 0 to 6V and represents temperatures from -50°C to +150°C . The device also features an output accuracy of ±0.2°C and a thermal time constant of 10 seconds.The AD592CN temperature sensor is controlled by an 8-bit digital-to-analog converter (DAC).
