The ADG527AKNZ is a Monolithic CMOS-based high-frequency Quad SPST Analog Switch which has four independently controlled SPST switch elements. This CMOS technology allows low voltage logic compatible analog switching and very low-power operation.
This device is used in many applications such as signal gating, signal routing, analog to digital conversion, and signal selection. It can also scale signal levels, combine signals and perform keying and signal modulation.
The ADG527AKNZ is a dual 4:1 multiplexer/demultiplexer analog switch which is especially beneficial for bus sharing in battery-powered applications. The device is ideal for mobile, hand-held and battery-powered applications which must switch over 500MHz signal bands with low power.

Each multiplexer/demultiplexer is controlled by an external select line. When the select line is LOW, one of the four I/O ports of the multiplexer will be connected to the common line, and all other I/O ports will be disconnected from the common line. The multiplexer will then be in the "OFF" state. When the select line is HIGH, one of the four I/O ports of the demultiplexer will be connected to the common line, and all other I/O ports will be disconnected from the common line. The device then will be in the “ON” state.
