Motion sensors, also known as inertial measurement units (IMUs), are specialized sensors used to detect and monitor the movements of objects in three-dimensional space. IMUs contain a combination of accelerometers, gyroscopes and magnetometers which are closely integrated with digital-signal-processing (DSP) algorithms to capture, measure and analyze movements in three-dimensional space.
