The ADP3625ARHZ-RL is an integrated PMIC – Gate Driver capable of providing half-bridge topology solutions for a variety of applications such as motor drives, DC-DC buck converters, Class D amplifiers, and motor control systems. This integrated PMIC – Gate Driver is designed to provide efficient, cost effective, and reliable half-bridge topology solutions to system designers.
The device is simple and easy to use, and supports different types of load such as DC motors, buck converters and Class D amplifiers. The driver contains two high-speed power transistors capable of driving up to 25A of continuous current and peaks of up to 50A. It also features over-current, under-voltage lockout protection and thermal shutdown protection. The device supports a wide operating voltage range of 6.5V to 36V and can be used in switch-mode DC-DC converters up to a maximum of 25A.
Compared to other drivers in the market, the ADP3625ARHZ-RL offers numerous advantages such as reduced external components, flexible output power control, simpler board layout, and lower electromagnetic interference (EMI) requirements. Its high integration level allows for minimal external components. An integrated half-bridge gate driver circuit within the device eliminates the need for external resistors, capacitors and pull-up/down resistors. Additionally, two separate gate driver outputs can be adjusted independently to control the output power and provide EMI protection. The device also enables dynamic current limiting and over-temperature protection. This integrated system also provides immunity against transients and ESD.
The ADP3625ARHZ-RL contains a multitude of features to ensure reliable operation including under-voltage lockout, programmable dead time, fast over-current protection, integrated load switch, and thermal fold back. It also offers limited cycle-by-cycle field-effect transistor (FET) current limiting and adjustable dead-time for optimal power management and efficiency.
