ADP3635ARHZ-RL, belonging to PMIC - Gate Drivers, is a high-speed, low-voltage gate driver featuring internal level translation. It is designed to drive high current capacitive loads, such as MOSFETs and IGBTs, with a wide range of gate drive Voltages.

The device can be used for motor control applications where speed, accuracy, and reliability are critical, such as industrial inverters or Servo Drives. It is also suitable for lighting control applications, such as LED drivers, or current level shifting. The device also provides an internal dead-time feature to protect against shoot-through.

The ADP3635ARHZ-RL operates off of a single 3.3 V to 5.5 V supply. Internal level shifting is provided to enable a high ±20 V output capability, allowing the output drive to swing between positive and negative logic.

The device provides four dual outputs, with each output featuring N-Channel MOSFETs. The outputs are capable of sourcing or sinking up to 4A at the 3.3V supply, and up to 11A at the 5V supply. Output rise and fall times are adjustable using external resistor values, to help minimize EMI emission from the system.

The ADP3635ARHZ-RL features built-in over-temperature protection and Over Current Protection (OCP). OCP is set with an external resistor. A thermal warning, which is activated at up to 150 °C, can be read back from the diagnostic output pin. The device also contains integrated ESD protection for both the logic and power pads.

The logic outputs of the driver feature a schmitt-trigger input buffer to provide inputs logic up to 5.5V, allowing compatibility with lower voltage logic families such as 3.3V. The logic interface uses a high impedance source input logic with pull-up and pull-down resistors allowing a wide input common mode range. On/Off control of all outputs is enabled by the enable pin.

The ADP3635ARHZ-RL is provided in a wide range of packages. The 4mm x 4mm LQFN package is suitable for the highest power density applications. The 10-lead DFN is suitable for applications requiring good thermal performance and high power density.
