The AOZ1320CI-02 is an integrating Automotive-grade PMIC - Power Distribution Switches, Load Drivers. It can provide high current for applications such as automotive head unit, camera, and lighting, Allowing the usually two power supply could be both on and off at the same time.

The switches of this PMIC feature a special technology - "Time Stretching Technology". This technology is designed to minimize power supply noise and the system can still control circuit’s power supply in short time interval, higher system efficiency and reduce the connection of filter.

The AOZ1320CI-02 provides seven power MOSFET switches, as well as other key components to help realize automotive market which can achieve the following:

• Provide 2V to 5.5V output voltage and load current up to 1.3A
• Very low quiescent current 44 μA
• Fast transient response 400μs
• High-side OFF time 200us
• Integrates 2V to 5.5V output linear regulation, overvoltage protection and shoot-through protection
• Over temperature protection(OTP) and over current protection (OCP)
• Integrates short-circuit protection(SCS), over voltage protection (OVP) and under voltage protection (UVP)

The AOZ1320CI-02 provides a PWM output for dimming control of external LED, which is used to reduce the LED power loss and the power efficiency of the system. It also features multiple protection mechanisms, such as built-in Overtemperature Protection.

The core of the AOZ1320CI-02 is the main power management integrated circuit, MOSFETs, load drivers and others, which are all integrated on one chip. The current is selected according to the corresponding resistors to achieve the internal impedance matching and protecting the device. The switching frequency range is from 500kHz to 1MHz.

The AOZ1320CI-02 also provides a PFM output for dimming control of external LED. This also gives a high-accuracy dimming control with a low-voltage differential signal (LVP). It can control slight changes in brightness very precisely.  The internal regulation of the main power circuit is complemented with linear regulation, MOSFET current limit, overvoltage protection, shoot-through protection and others. It also maintains high accuracy in the output voltage to reduce system power loss in the end.

The AOZ1320CI-02 is designed with very low quiescent current, fast transient response and a high-side OFF time which allows the system power to be controlled in a shorter period.
