This device provides a wide range of features suitable for USB Type-C power systems and many other portable applications.The AOZ1321DI-02 device integrates all necessary power switches and interfaces for complete, efficient, and protected power delivery in USB Type-C systems, as well as other portable applications. Its flexible configuration allows designers to choose between various charging modes (including Apple Device Charging and USB Power Delivery 2.0) and to protect Li-ion batteries against over-voltage, over-current, over-temperature, and/or charge-termination conditions.The AOZ1321DI-02 provides a single-cell Li-ion battery charger and system power distribution management, including output voltage control, switching, and protection. An integrated control system, including a unique digital technology, controls all external switches to avoid shoot-through and large inrush current. This architecture offers several features to make the solution very cost-effective and safe, while enabling the use of small inductors, capacitors, and low-side MOSFETs.The AOZ1321DI-02 device supports input voltages from 0V to 20V, with an internal power limit up to 34.5A (1.4V output). Output voltage is adjustable from 0 to 5V and load current is up to 3.6A. This IC also supports various charging techniques like Apple Device Charging and USB Power Delivery (PD) 2.0, thus allowing an adjustable output voltage from 3.3V to 19V.The AOZ1321DI-02 IC integrates full protection and management functions for primary and secondary Li-Ion batteries. This includes over-voltage, over-current, over-temperature, short-circuit, and charge-termination protections.In addition, the AOZ1321DI-02 includes several safety features such as over-temperature protection (OTP), over-power protection (OPP), primary and secondary short-circuit protections, active discharge, enable/disable functions.
