Ambient light sensors are photoelectric sensors that measure the amount of light present in ambient lighting around them. The AS7225-BLGT is a low power device with a 0.36 lux resolution at an 805nm wavelength, and can detect objects up to 5m away. It uses an optical filter to measure the ambient light in two distinct spectral bands (visible and IR). The AS7225-BLGT is capable of operating both as a wide-range and narrow-range ALS device. It can detect the smallest amount of light while rejecting interference from other sources. At its highest sensitivity setting, it offers up to 90% dynamic range of response. One of the main features of the AS7225-BLGT is its integrated, highly customizable Interrupt Capacitor (INTCA) functionality.
