The ATSAMD20J17A-CUT is a highly configurable and versatile microcontroller system, providing a wide array of features and functions for applications ranging from automotive systems and consumer electronics to industrial or healthcare products. The ATSAMD20J17A-CUT is an ARM® Cortex®-M0+ processor-based platform, which is designed to address a wide range of applications. With a high level of system integration as well as low-power operation, the Cortex-M0+ microcontroller platform is ideal for applications such as powering low power embedded systems, automation and control, human machine interface (HMI) systems and graphical displays.
The Cortex-M0+ processor includes dedicated hardware accelerators such as the memory management unit (MMU) and the duplication and bus interfaces, which allow the microcontroller to use the tightly coupled memory (TCM) and the C code-friendly timer. In addition, the Cortex-M0+ processor includes tight integration with a set of peripherals, including a digital-to-analog converter (DAC), an analog-to-digital converter (ADC) and various timer and serial communications interfaces (SPI and I2C). At the same time, the integrated Inter-integrated circuit (I2C) master allows developers to interface with off-chip devices.
The ATSAMD20J17A-CUT also features a wide range of analog and digital peripherals, including a four channel Universal Asynchronous Receiver/Transmitter (UART), two channel SPI and four channel Universal Serial Bus (USB) master. Additionally, the ATSAMD20J17A-CUT provides a 12-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC) which enables the user to accurately measure analog signals. With its on-chip random-number generator, secure hardware random number generator (RNG) and various cryptographic algorithms, the Cortex-M0+ processor makes the ATSAMD20J17A-CUT well suited for securing data and connections, enabling it to be used in secure communications.
The ATSAMD20J17A-CUT also features a battery life extension (BLE) technology, which helps reduce power consumption and enhance system performance. This technology enables the devices to sleep in an ultra low power mode when in standby mode and automatically wakes up in a very short time duration when needed. The ATSAMD20J17A-CUT also contains an internal silicon oscillator, low-power oscillator and user programmable timers, allowing it to be used in a wide range of applications.
