ATSAMV71N21B-AAB is an advanced embedded microcontroller, developed by Atmel Corporation to enable higher system performance and reduce design time. It combines a 32-bit ARM Cortex-M7 with an Arm TrustZone technology, together with an advanced multi-layer bus interconnect to increase system performance and features such as hardware encryption and secure boot. This makes it ideal for applications such as telecommunication systems, industrial automation, automotive systems and embedded security.
The ATSAMV71N21B-AAB is built with Atmel\'s ARM Cortex-M7 processor core, which has a 32-bit instruction set, a very fast 400 MHz maximum clock speed and supports Memory Protection Unit (MPU). The processor core also supports both 2-way and multi-core cacheable memory systems to minimize external bus cycle time and improve performance. Considering its features and circuit integration, the ATSAMV71N21B-AAB has a high performance with 10MB internal ROM and 512KB (1MB option) of internal RAM.
In addition to the ARM Cortex-M7 core, the ATSAMV71N21B-AAB also integrates an array of 16KB SRAM, which is four times larger than ATSAMV71N21B-AAB’s previous microcontrollers. This additional memory enhances the system’s performance when dealing with multimedia applications and heavy data processing, allowing the device to perform multiple operations on large data sets at the same time without performance degradation.
