The BD240B bipolar junction transistor (BJT) is a two-terminal device designed for use in audio, switching, and other power applications. It is a single device consisting of three semiconductor layers and four PN junction planes. The BD240B junction transistor has a gain bandwidth product of 36 MHz and can handle up to 1000 mA collector current. It is rated at 8 V and 50 mW, with a collector-to-emitter breakdown voltage of 16V. The BD240B transistor is a N-type base, P-type collector and NPN-type device.
