The Texas Instruments BQ24278YFFR is a highly integrated and economical power-management and battery-charger integrated circuit (PMIC & BC). It is designed to accommodate greater than 90% of the current market Li-ion or Li-Polymer cell count configurations and allows the user to select from a variety of charge current values, charge termination topologies, and charge profiles, including the company’s proprietary iCharge™ algorithm for enhanced charging efficiency. The device is capable of charging up to 2 cells in series and comes in a low profile 6-pin SOT package.
