The CDCE421RGET is a low-power, highly integrated clock generator, phase-locked loop (PLL), and frequency synthesizer designed for a variety of applications. It is an ideal choice for high-performance clock requirements in multiple segments such as data communications, computing, industrial, mobile and consumer.
The CDCE421RGET provides two phase-locked loop (PLL) outputs and up to sixteen frequency synthesis outputs (frequencies up to 10MHz). The device utilizes a 3rd-order Delta-Sigma modulator and digital carrier generation to minimize power and cost while providing low jitter performance. The PLL outputs can be configured as either clock outputs or frequency synthesis outputs. The frequency synthesizer outputs can be programmed to generate frequencies up to 10 MHz in 16-bit steps. The device has integrated non-volatile memory for configuration, programming, and trimming of clock frequencies.
The CDCE421RGET provides the ability to generate several different types of clock outputs, such as sine wave, square wave, and LVDS. The sine wave output can be configured to be within a specified accuracy of the desired frequency. The LVDS outputs are designed to meet the needs of PCI Express Gen2, USB 2.0, and etc. All the outputs are software programmable and can be externally trimmed for better accuracy. In addition, the device utilizes a high-speed interface for programming and trimming of the output frequencies.
The CDCE421RGET has an integrated digital phase-locked loop (PLL) and frequency synthesizer that is used to generate various clock and frequency outputs. This integrated PLL and frequency synthesizer provides the flexibility to generate two different types of outputs and to control the output frequencies either through a software or through external trimming. The PLL is designed to be able to generate outputs with a maximum frequency of up to 30MHz and with a minimum frequency of 5KHz. The frequency synthesizer can generate output signals with a frequency range of up to 10MHz in 16-bit steps.
The device has integrated non-volatile memory for configuration, programming, and trimming of clock frequencies. This enables the device to be quickly and easily configured for different applications. The device is designed for low power operation, allowing for operation with a supply voltage of 1.8V to 3.6V DC.
