The CDCM1802RGTRG4 is a high-performance differential clock buffer with integrated repeater, producing high-pulse edge rates and low clock-to-clock skew. Operating from a single +3 V or +1.8 V power supply, this differential buffer offers a space savings of up to 1.5× in area compared to two single cmos drivers of similar performance. The CDCM1802RGTRG4 has been designed, tested and designed around JEDEC standards and is used in a wide range of applications, including microprocessors and memories, high-speed networking, communications, audio and video applications, as well as a variety of other clock-dependent applications.

The CDCM1802RGTRG4 offers two operating modes: cascade mode and repeater mode. In cascade mode, one buffer can be connected to the input and the output of another buffer to provide total propagation delay between the two buffers of approximately 180 ps. In repeater mode, the device operates as an active single-ended clock driver, providing an output with full amplitude equal to the input. The device operates from a single +3 V or +1.8 V supply and is characterized for operation from -40°C to +125°C.

The CDCM1802RGTRG4 offers high performance in three key areas. First, the device offers very low input-to-output skew for low-power applications. Second, the device offers high intensification levels even in the presence of strong interference, allowing the user to compensate for a noisy environment. Finally, the device offers low-power operation, with typical power dissipation of 10 mW.
