The IGBT Module Family is a high-performance range of discrete Hi-Rel MOSFETs, designed to offer superior power solutions for high-end industrial, automotive, and commercial applications. The IGBT Module Family provides the flexibility of single and dual chips, high-current operation, and wide temperature range of operation.The CM150DY-12H is a 50A, 1200V Hi-Rel MOSFET module that combines the inherent advantages of MOSFETs with the technological advantages of Infineon\'s patented Extended Stress Technology (EST). Utilizing the EST packaging technology, the CM150DY-12H features an ultra-low EMI signature and extremely tight on-state characteristics. This enables the CM150DY-12H to provide superior performance in quality, reliability, and power density in applications requiring IGBTs.The application field and working principle of the CM150DY-12H make it suitable for a wide range of industrial and commercial applications. With its superior power characteristics and high switching speed, the CM150DY-12H is well-suited for use in applications such as variable speed/position controllers, adjustable frequency drives, home appliance control, solar power conversion, and power factor correction (PFC) systems. Additionally, the superior on-state characteristics of the CM150DY-12H make it well-suited for use in high temperature and high temperature cycling applications.In terms of operation, the CM150DY-12H is capable of controlling power output of up to 1200V and 50A. It works by utilizing an internal FET structure that primitives the power flow, allowing it to provide superior power density. Whenever electricity is required, the CM150DY-12H\'s internal MOSFET structure is turned on, allowing the current flow to pass through the module. When the current is no longer needed, the internal MOSFET structure is turned off, preventing the current flow.Furthermore, the CM150DY-12H is equipped with a fast-recovery diode and integrated clamping circuit to ensure reliable operation. The fast-recovery diode and integrated clamping circuit work together to protect the CM150DY-12H from transient over-voltages, while the integrated over-current protection circuit helps prevent current over-loads.
