Working Principle
The CNY17F2SVM optoisolator uses a 5-pin device to transfer digital signaling. Its internal photodiode captures the light energy emitted by the LED and converts electrical energy to a photocurrent that is then delivered to the output transistor. This photocurrent is proportional to the current that is pumped through the LED, and therefore the transferred signal is proportional to the input current.
