TVS - DiodesCPDU24V is a transient voltage suppressor (TVS) diode designed for various applications. It is a two-pin, unidirectional, voltage-activated, reliable, and very compact device for limiting transients on AC and DC lines. It is used to protect equipment and people from overvoltage events. It is an ideal choice for voltage surges protection in industrial automation, medical equipment, communication systems, and renewable energy applications.CPDU24V is based on the principle of zinc oxide varistor technology. The semiconductor material used is zinc oxide, which has a wide range of resistance of electrical current flow and a very quick response time for existing pulses. This TVS diode is polarity independent, meaning it can be used on single-phase AC mains and DC lines. It is designed to absorb transient voltage surges up to 415 VPP (peak to peak value) and possesses high current capability of 18 A. The device has a fast response time of 5 ns, which ensures sensitive circuits are not subjected to damaging transients. CPDU24V TVS diode offers the user selectable waveforms with a response time of 6 ms, 20 ms, and 50 ms, allowing the user to customize the waveform depending upon the application. The steady-state clamp voltage corresponds to the level selected by the user. The device also offers excellent ESD protection, which is critical for sensitive electronic circuits. It is also able to dissipate at least 20 W of power with thermal dissipation.The rugged construction of the CPDU24V ensures reliable performance in many harsh environments. The device has an excellent moisture and humidity resistance, and is immune to voltage spikes generated by contactless switching. It can withstand high temperature exposure up to +175°C. The device fits into a standard DIP (dual inline plastic) package and can easily be soldered on a standard through-hole PCB.In short, CPDU24V provides an efficient and reliable protection for industrial automation, medical equipment, communication systems, and renewable energy applications.
