The CY7B9930V-5AXC is a high-performance PLL-based clock generator designed for the Clock/Timing application field.

The CY7B9930V-5AXC includes four SMA output ports that generate a wide range of clock output frequencies. The device also includes four CMOS input ports with input frequency range up to 9 MHz. Working Principle
The CY7B9930V-5AXC contains a Phase-Locked Loop (PLL) that is used to generate the clock or data signals that are used to synchronize the different components in the system. As the frequency of the input clock or data signal changes, the PLL is able to fine-tune a frequency independently from the input frequency.
The PLL works by comparing the phase of the input signal to the phase of the generated frequency. When the input and generated frequencies are the same, the PLL is said to be locked. In this mode, the loop is able to generate a stable clock frequency that is independent of the input signal.
The PLL also contains a digital-controlled oscillator (DCO) that is used to finely tune the generated frequency.
