CY7C136-55JI is a modular product designed in the field of Memory. This versatile memory is a product developed by Integrated Device Technology (IDT) to meet the needs of a wide range of applications, such as industrial automation, consumer electronics, consumer appliances, communication equipment, medical equipment and automotive electronics. The CY7C136-55JI offers 32K by 8 bits of non-volatile static RAM (NVRAM) organized as five 4K by 8 bits pages or four 8K by 8 bits pages with 12 selectable address locations. This memory provides the user with an ample amount of program and data storage in one compact multichip package.
The CY7C136-55JI utilizes a static RAM architecture to provide fast, reliable, and low power operation. The memory can be used in volatile and non-volatile modes. In volatile mode, the memory works just like a regular RAM, with a power-on operation, and can store up to 8-bit data bytes. In non-volatile mode, the data is stored in a battery-backed up (BBU) memory.
The CY7C136-55JI has two power supply options: a single battery is used in applications where the data only needs to be maintained at power-off, and two batteries are used when the chip needs to be continually refreshed. The CY7C136-55JI can also be supplied with four equal supplies to reduce power draw.
The CY7C136-55JI supports multiple write cycles and read/write cycles, with the ability to rewrite and rewrite data over long periods of time. The CY7C136-55JI also supports two different write latch modes, which allow data to be written in bursts, making it ideal for time-critical applications.
