CY7C4235-15AC is a device produced by Cypress Semiconductor Corp for logic – FIFOs memory application field. Both are composed of four control registers which are directly implemented in the device. This setup allows the Mini-FIFO to operate in accordance with the device’s clock frequency and flexible control signals. The Write Module has two sections; the FIFO Data and the FIFO Status register. The FIFO Data Register holds the sixty-four bytes of the input data stream while the FIFO Status Register holds the count of the valid bytes that have been pushed into the FIFO.The Read Module is similar to the Write Module which has two sections, however, the Read Module has a third access mode called “Rollover”. This feature allows the module to utilize an Advanced Write-Back Analyzer, also known as AWB, which allows the FIFO to access data in a continuous loop method. The AWB will automatically discard the oldest data from the buffer when the new data is pushed into the FIFO. The Rollover feature can be enabled or disabled, depending on the application requirements.The CY7C4235-15AC also offers many other advanced features such as built-in intelligence, enhanced flush operation, high efficiency power-saving modes, SRAM compatibility, and an adjustable clock rate. It also provides synchronization capabilities, support for up to 8 bits of data, asynchronous interface, and interrupt control for FIFO operations. The device supports several modes of operation including the “Byte” mode, the “Word” mode, and the “FIFO” mode.The “Byte” Mode allow the FIFO to access data in a continuous loop by reading a single byte at a time. The FIFO can then be independently configured to write a single byte or multiple bytes of data in each transfer. The “Word” mode provides more flexibility by allowing the FIFO to read and write multiple words in a single transfer. This mode is well suited for applications which require large amounts of data to be transferred between memory and the device. The “FIFO” mode allows user to configure the FIFO to store multiple words and read them back in sequence. This mode is useful for applications which require data to be stored in a large buffer and read sequentially.In addition to the advanced features, the CY7C4235-15AC also supports a wide range of electrical characteristics which include low power consumption during active mode, wide temperature range from -40 to +85 degrees Celsius, and a single voltage supply from 1.8 to 3.3V. The device also provides design flexibility by supporting up to 64KB of SRAM.
