Working Principle of CY7C149-45PC

The CY7C149-45PC is a 64K×16 slim CMOS Static RAM with page mode. It features a two-port (A and B) architecture with read-lockouts for each port. The physical page size can be extended from the default page size of 16 bits while the mid-page address is decoded on both ports. The CY7C149-45PC uses an internal pipelined address transition which speeds up burst mode operations. Reading and writing data is made simpler by a single active low ‘R/W’ pin. This pin is used to control data read and write operations to the memory cell. It is also used to switch between multiple access cycles without external logic signals. The CY7C149-45PC also features a pause pin and three chip enable pins which allow the user to extend the memory structure above the 32Kb address range. The pins allow for multiple memory parts to be used as a single device by extending the total address range. In addition, the device features an N-Sync pin which allows for synchronization with the host system. The CY7C149-45PC is designed for compatibility with both TTL and CMOS logic circuits and is available in a small JEDEC SOJ-32 package. Its low power consumption and fast page mode access make it the ideal choice for memory applications.
