Upon receiving the signal, the chip will initiate the write operation from the Data Register to the memory cell. When a read operation is initiated, the process is just reversed. First, the address is sent from the host and stored in the Address Register. Then, the read enable signal will be produced, prompting the chip to start the read operation from the memory cell to the Data Register. After that, the host can retrieve the data from the Data Register.
