The DC996B-F evaluation board is a versatile Analog to Digital Converter (ADC) board designed to evaluate the performance of new and existing high speed ADCs. It is designed to evaluate the performance of high speed ADCs from an assortment of manufacturers including Micron Technology, Linear Technology, and Analog Devices. It is capable of evaluating a wide range of devices from the industry leading Analog Devices ADCs to the newer 3Gb/s on-board low voltage differential signaling (LVDS-Link) ADCs from Micron and Linear.
The board is equipped with an on-board user interface consisting of four eight-bit GPIO ports, an LCD display, an ADC test port, an ethernet port, as well as a full-duplex RS232 serial port. The board also features an SPI port, a microSD card socket, and an infrared receiver (IRDA). The board supports the LVDS-Link and MIPI Data Type A protocol for optimal communication between the board and the connected ADCs.
