DFLZ30Q-7

The DFLZ30Q-7 is a single Zener diode, used to regulate and maintain a constant voltage level. Working Principle

The DFLZ30Q-7 operates based on the principle of electron hole pair recombination. As an external source is applied to the diode, electrons and holes are created in its p-type material as a result of the voltage. As the voltage increases, a portion of this recombination energy is released as heat due to the electron-hole pairs being unable to recombine. When the Zener voltage of the diode is reached, the electron-hole pairs will begin to recombine, releasing the stored energy and establishing a voltage at the Zener voltage across the diode.

This diode is capable of handling up to 2 watts of power and its zener voltage is rated between 2.4-2.6V. It is designed to be capable of operation at temperatures up to 200°C, making it suitable for most high-temperature applications. The DFLZ30Q-7 is packaged in a SOT-223 package and is both RoHS and REACH compliant.
