DG300 AAA/883 is an analog switch, multiplexer, and demultiplexer integrated circuit designed for use in data acquisition and control systems. The device can be used to switch, multiplex, and demultiplex analog signals. It has three separate analog switches and two Multiplexers, each with its own select input and both with a common select input.The DG300 AAA/883 switches are CMOS digital logic-compatible devices, with low on-state and off-state power consumption. The switches are N-Channel transfer gates, with a control input level of 0 to 5V, allowing for switching of analog signals up to 5V. The multiplexer and demultiplexer are digital logic compatible and have low on resistance.The DG300 AAA/883 can be used in a variety of applications ranging from general-purpose analog switching to analog data acquisition, active filter switching and multiplexing, and sample-and-hold switching. It can also be used in designs that require multiplexing of higher voltage signals, as well as designs that require analog switching of accurately proportional voltages.The DG300 AAA/883 application field and working principle has two components. The first component is the switch and multiplexer/demultiplexer. The switch consists of two N-Channel Enhancement Mode MOSFETs connected in series with the control input (Vin) connected between the two gates. When Vin is low, current flows through the channel and the output is high. When Vin is high, the channel is blocked and the output is low.The multiplexers and demultiplexers each have four digital inputs (A – D) and one common select input (S). The multiplexers select one of the four digital inputs and sends the corresponding digital output (Q). The demultplexers select one of the four digital inputs and sends the corresponding digital output (Q1-Q4).The second component of the DG300 AAA/883 application field and working principle is the transmission gate. The transmission gate consists of two N-Channel Enhancement Mode MOSFETs connected in series. The select input (S) can be connected to a logic level voltage to enable or disable the gate. When enabled, the two MOSFETs in series act as a switch and will allow or block current flow through the gate depending on the logic level voltage of the select input. The second part of the transmission gate consists of an N-Channel Enhancement Mode MOSFET connected from ground to the output. When enabled, this MOSFET will allow a current to flow from ground to the output.In summary, the DG300 AAA/883 is a highly integrated IC which contains two groups of analog switches and two groups of multiplexers/demultiplexers. It can be used in a wide variety of applications and its low on-state and off-state power consumption makes it ideal for power-sensitive applications.
