The DG442AK/883B is a quad analog switch designed for use in systems based on microprocessors. It is a monolithic integrated circuit consisting of four CMOS switched-capacitor circuit elements with the advantages of low power dissipation and low cost. The DG442AK/883B is part of the DG432A/883A family of devices, which includes an array of high-speed multiplexers, demultiplexers, and voltage converters.
The DG442AK/883B can be used to connect analog signals between four single-ended or two differential sources (both sources have a common-mode voltage). The inputs are driven by signal sources with any amplitude from -15 volts to +15 volts. The signal sources need not be referenced to the same potential. A user can program any of the four switches to connect any one of the four signal sources to any one of the four signal receivers.
The control logic inputs source current of up to 10mA and the switch outputs sink current up to -12mA. The operating temperature range is -40°C to +85°C. The circuit includes protection diodes which protect the inputs from electrically-fast transient spikes, as well as ESD protection for all switch pins.
