The DG444DY is a Quad Low On-Resistance, Monolithic CMOS Analog Switch designed to operate over a broad range of input voltages. It is particularly suited for low power applications where low switch on resistance and fast switching speed are required.
The DG444DY has four independent switches. Each switch has a common source/drain terminal and a separate control input terminal. Each switch has an on-state resistance between the source/drain terminals of 0.255Ohm typical when VDD and VSS are 3.0V and 0.35Ohm typical when VDD and VSS are 5.0V. The maximum voltage ratings for the device are 30V for VDD and -15V for VSS with an operating voltage range of 2.7V to 5.0V. The analog switch can be operated at PIN+ levels of 3V, 5V and 12V.
The working principle of the DG444DY involves an input signal applied to the control terminal of the switch. When the voltage of the control signal is above the threshold voltage, the switch is turned on and the signal is applied to the common source/drain terminal. When the voltage of the control signal is below the threshold voltage, the switch is turned off and no signal is applied to the common source/drain terminal.
The DG444DY is ideal for applications such as analog multiplexers, demultiplexers and video switch networks. It is available in the DIP-16 package, is RoHS and Halogen compliant, and is AEC-Q100 automotive grade qualified.
