Working Principle

The working principle of the DG613AEN-T1-E4 is based on two sets of five pins that can be independently controlled and operated. There is one set of control inputs that allow the user to select which channels to enable and which to disable, and a second set of control inputs that allow the user to select which channel is to be activated.The control inputs consist of a common control input (CCI) and a pair of digital control inputs (DCI1 and DCI2). The DCI1 and DCI2 inputs are used to select from four states of operation, including on, off, input high, and input low. When configured for the on state, both DCI1 and DCI2 must be set to logic high, and the CCI must be set to logic low. When configured for the off state, both DCI1 and DCI2 must be set to logic low, and the CCI must be set to logic high. When configured for the input high state, DCI1 must be set to logic high and DCI2 must be set to logic low, while the CCI must be set to logic low. Similarly, when configured for the input low state, DCI1 must be set to logic low and DCI2 must be set to logic high, and the CCI must be set to logic low.The multiplexer/demultiplexer also has three 8-bit bidirectional data output buses, one for each channel, as well as two 8-bit bidirectional data input buses, one for each channel. The data output buses are used to provide the output signal to up to three different circuits, and the data input buses are used to provide the input signal for up to three different circuits. Each data input bus has an associated enable signal, which must be set to the active-high level for the channel to be operational.In summary, the DG613AEN-T1-E4 is a versatile multiplexer/demultiplexer device that can be used in a wide variety of applications.
