The DMC266010R is a high-performance, monolithic, pre-biased, Darlington transistor array. It provides high power and reliability for most applications, is ideal for supporting bridge, Class D and Complementary-Symmetry Power Amplifier (CSPA) designs, and offers best-in-class thermal stability and high input impedance.The DMC266010R is designed for applications where a minimum input impedance is critical. It utilizes a high input leakage structure and a low bias to minimize the effects of temperature changes and voltage drops. Even with a low bias current, the device still offers high bandwidth and low distortion.The DMC266010R can be used as an amplifier, or as a driver for high-current switching applications. It is suited for applications where precision, high current drive and low or no return currents are required.The device features an array of 16 Darlington transistors, each of which is pre-biased and powered with a constant voltage supply. Each transistor consists of two separate units: an input transistor and an output collector-base transistor. The input transistor is the bias transistor and is used to control the operating current of the output transistor. The output collector-base transistor performs actual signal amplification.In operation, the bias transistor is driven with a signal current (or by switching the bias voltage) to adjust the operating current of the output transistor. As the bias current is increased, the base-emitter voltage of the output transistor is reduced, essentially “turning off” the transistor. As the bias current is reduced, the base-emitter voltage of the output transistor is increased, effectively ”turning on” the output transistor and conducting current.The resulting switch-like behavior of the DMC266010R makes it ideal for high-performance, precise switching applications. It is also useful for high-speed switching such as switch debouncing, gate drive circuits, and pre-charging energy storage elements.The DMC266010R is also well-suited for applications that require a high voltage tolerance and precise control, such as current-mode logic (CML) and high-speed, low-power driver applications. The device\'s low power consumption and high maximum power dissipation make it especially attractive for applications where both power and accuracy are critical.The DMC266010R is a versatile, high-performance device with a number of features and benefits.
