The board has two banks of connectors which are configured to provide a variety of delay line output signals. The five available discrete delay lines are: 1. Direct Clock Output (OCO)2. Data Output (ODO)3. Divide by two Output (ODOT)4. Divide by four Output (ODOTF)5. Divide by eight Output (ODOTOF)The direct clock output line provides a signal derived directly from the clock input, while the divide by two, four, and eight outputs produce signals which are respectively one half, one quarter, and one eighth of the frequency of the clock input.The DS1005-125+ operates by generating a delay line output signal from an incoming clock signal. An input signal from the clock is fed into the unit, which internally converts it into a pulse train. This pulse train is then used to activate the delay lines at different rate. The delay line output is then fed back to the input of the unit and the delay lines continue to be operated at the same rate until the signal is changed. The DS1005-125+ is capable of producing either signal delay or signal splitting, depending on the configuration of the delay lines. In signal delay applications, the output signal will be delayed in time relative to the input signal based on the length of the delay line and the frequency of the clock signal.
