DS1100LZ-250+T application field and working principleThe DS1100LZ-250+T is among the single-in-line type components commonly used in electric engineering with an application field in the Clock/Timing area specifically for Delay Lines. Examples of such applications include level shifting and impedance transformation, pulse shaping, and multi-stage delays. An enhanced version of the DS1100LZ-250+T, the DS1100LZ-250+T-E, features an extended emulation, increased accuracy, and upgraded robustness. This version also provides a more efficient conversion between a variety of circuits and a wider range of input/output signals than its predecessor. The working principle of the DS1100LZ-250+T is based on the concept of transforming the input signals into delayed versions of the same. For example, a 10-millisecond delay can be achieved by first passing the input signal through a pair of NAND gates, followed by a delay element, before passing it through the output buffer and then delaying it by 10 milliseconds. This delay element can be selected depending upon the specific application. The delay element is capable of producing an output signal that is delayed from its input by an amount dependant on the external components it is connected to, as well as the power supply voltage. For a 200-millisecond delay, the delay element can be connected to an RC network consisting of a single resistance and a capacitor. As the resistance value increases, the output signal can be delayed by larger amounts of time. The output buffer of the DS1100LZ-250+T is designed to provide additional current drive for the output signal. This enhances the speed of the output signal and reduces the power consumption of the delay line. As a result, the DS1100LZ-250+T is suitable for use in a variety of electrical systems.
