The DS1232LPSN-2+ helps in monitoring the voltage and temperature of the battery, providing system reset and warning, as well as controlling the response of the system based on the feedback received from the battery. Analog power conditioning on the DS1232LPSN-2+ enables a high degree of power savings. This is achieved by employing a large number of technologies such as spread spectrum clock oscillators, power gating, power saving modes, ultra-low quiescent current operation, low current logic blocking and more. Power saving modes enable the system to switch to different operational modes when power is applied or when the battery is depleted, enabling the system to conserve power and reduce energy consumption. Power gating and low current logic blocking help reduce power consumption when the system is idle by reducing the number of transistors that draw current from the system.
