Working Principle:
The DS1670E works on the principle of keeping track of the number of 32.768KHz clock cycles that have passed since the device was powered up. The device has a timekeeping register that increments every time a clock cycle has been counted. To ensure accurate timekeeping, the device has an oscillator that regularly verifies the accuracy of the timekeeping register.
