The EPC9115 Evaluation board is a well-designed, off-line SMPS with DC/DC and AC/DC operating configurations. It is used to evaluate the performance of EPC9115 controllers and provides a complete solution. The board includes an optically isolated, on-chip, PFC switched-mode power converter. The board allows users to have a simple and efficient testing platform to evaluate the different working modes of the EPC9115 controller. With its configurable output power and DIP switch settings, this board can be used to evaluate both DC/DC and AC/DC off-line SMPS applications.
The input voltage of the EPC9115 Evaluation board ranges from 90 Vac to 264 Vac and its power factor can be adjusted up to 0.9 thanks to its integrated PFC circuit. The maximum output power of the board is 150 W, which is enough to test and evaluate several applications such as light dimming, LED lighting and smart appliances. Additionally, the board is also equipped with a temperature sense pin which supports an external NTC resistor, allowing it to closely monitor the temperature of critical components in the application.
The EPC9115 Evaluation board also includes a comprehensive set of components which makes it an ideal choice for a wide range of applications. It comes equipped with two adjustable buck channels and one adjustable boost channel, making it suitable for testing various AC/DC and DC/DC power supply solutions. In PFC Low Power Mode, the board manages a large amount of power with lower input currents, while in PFC High Power Mode, the board can handle higher input currents. It also supports Hysteretic Current Mode (HCM) which allows the board to better regulate its output power under varying conditions.
