EVAL-916-ES is a radio-frequency (RF) evaluation board, which is part of the family of EVAL-916 Evaluation and Development Kits from Analog Devices Inc. The EVAL-916-ES is a feature-rich evaluation system designed to aid the engineer in developing and testing RF applications. It is used for various applications such as RF circuit design, simulation, performance verification, and system-level parametric evaluation.
The EVAL-916-ES board features 8GHz real-time frequency coverage, a wide range of input RF signal sources, and 24-bit wideband Flash ADCs (Analog-to-Digital Converters) with 14-bit digital phase shifters. The RF evaluation capabilities of the EVAL-916-ES are provided by two main components: IDELIX\'s SpectraConnect system and Analog Devices\' Analogue DSP Library. The SpectraConnect system provides the user with programmable control over the receivers, allowing for precise signal tuning and optimization. Each receiver can be customized with various parameters such as frequency, bandwidth, power level, and filter selection. Additionally, the SpectraConnect system provides an intuitive user interface that can be used to access and modify receiver settings.
The Analog DSP Library provides all of the tools needed to apply DSP principles to RF signal processing. It is composed of a variety of components, including code libraries, viewers, and support functions that enable the user to quickly and precisely develop RF solutions for their applications. The Analog DSP Library includes pre-built modules for signal playback, capture, and conversion, making it easy to set up, evaluate, and optimize RF solutions.
