FEP16HTHE3/45 includes four rectifier bridges, each with a design of 8-amp diodes having a peak forward surge current of 70 amps, including an IRKCT-04 reverse protection diode. It is intended for use in applications in which very high noise levels can occur, such as automotive, telecommunications, industrial and medical. FEP16HTHE3/45 rectifier bridges are designed to protect against ESD, surges and very high noise protection. They feature a low forward voltage drop, low leakage current and short-circuit protection. The reverse protection diode prevents overloads due to voltage transients and spikes, while the forward voltage drop ensures proper electrical performance. The FEP16HTHE3/45 diode array has two pins in the middle, which function as the forward and reverse pins. The forward pin provides the necessary base current to turn on the diode array, while the reverse pin sustains the forward voltage drop. The forward pin is connected to the cathode, while the reverse pin is connected to the anode. When a forward voltage is applied to the anode, current flows through the diode array from the anode to the cathode. This current confers the advantages of a very low forward voltage drop and very low leakage current.The FEP16HTHE3/45 diode array is designed for a wide variety of industrial, automotive, and medical applications, such as oscillators, power line protection, rectifier bridges and switching power supplies. It is capable of handling up to 70 amps of peak forward surge current and can be used in both 115 volt and 230 volt applications. It also has a high temperature capability, permitting up to 135°C (275°F).Due to its benefits, the FEP16HTH3/45 diode array is especially well suited for rectifier bridge applications. It enables efficient rectification of AC power, while offering superior protection against ESD, surges and noise. It also provides enhanced system longevity by reducing the forward voltage drop and the leakage current, which can both promote thermal performance and reliability.
