GP10QE-M3/54 is an ultra-fast single rectifier diode designed and manufactured using the latest high-voltage MOS technology. It has a ultra-high forward peak current capability and a low forward drop. It is suitable for high-frequency half-wave rectifier applications, such as DC to AC inverters, AC to DC converters, or current rectifier in DC to DC power conversion systems.
The GP10QE-M3/54 primarily has two applications - as a half wave rectifier diode, and as a surge device for active wave-shaping. In the half wave rectifier application, the device is used to rectify the alternating current waveform, converting it to direct current. The device takes advantage of the junction’s blocking capability, since the forward-biased junction will conduct current in the forward direction, while preventing current flow in the reverse direction.
