The GTL2003PW,118 device is a Voltage Level Translator that provides a simple and cost effective method for interfacing logic circuitry requiring different levels of VCC. Operating with two independent supply voltages, the device is designed to function over a temperature range of 0ˆ85C. Composed of two parts, a translator and a buffer, the GTL2003PW,118 provides four channels, three of which are unidirectional, and is designed to interface 1.8Vˆ2.5V or 2.5Vˆ3.3V, 5V and lower voltage systems. Working as a voltage translator, the GTL2003PW,118 easily translates one logic level to the other with minimal propagation delay. It offers low noise and low power characteristics that enable it to operate in multiplexers to assist in improving system logic performance. The device additionally eliminates the need for extra components in applications requiring intermediate voltage reference, providing full logic level translation. The GTL2003PW,118 is also able to buffer the output voltage, allowing the system an easier way to interface with higher and lower voltage systems and providing rail-to-rail output and noise immunity. To prevent damage caused by over-driving the output, the device is equipped with open drain outputs which boost the signals exiting the pin. This allows the device to generate low output impedance and reduces over-driver voltages, making the GTL2003PW,118 highly suitable for multiplexer applications. Overall, the GTL2003PW,118 offers multiple benefits in the form of its level translation and buffer capability making it suitable for a variety of applications.
