GTL2003BQ115, a logic-level translator, is designed to convert the logic of CMOS/TTL to ECL, which can provide a rail-to-rail voltage and current with power supplies between +3V, to +9V and -3V to -9V, respectively. This is advantageous over traditional translators which could only operate within specific range, while the GTL2003BQ115 can work in a wide range of applications.
The signal input voltage ranges from VIL=0.9V~VIL=2.2V, VIH=2.2V~VIH=3.2V and the output voltage range is VOH = 2.45V~VOH =3.3V, VOL=-3.3V~VOL=-2.45V and the output current shock is IOH=-8mA~IOH=-2.5mA and IOL=2.5mA~IOL=8mA.
The GTL2003BQ115 is based on improving the traditional logic translators’ design structure by using a dynamic BiCMOS technology with a dead-zone-free logic-level converters and input/output pre-drivers. Additionally, the design has incorporated safety switches to protect both the device and the end-user from potential damages.
The GTL2003BQ115 has various applications including bus expansion, bus inverter and bus bridge solutions. It also works well in processor-to-memory communication, logic-level shifting and level translation with its logic-level controls.
