It is designed to operate in systems that require high levels of power conversion efficiency, long line and load regulation, and a low cost solution.This device has the capability to provide up to five functional pins for protecting the system against one or more of the following circumstances: Over current protection, voltage limiting, short circuit protection, over temperature protection and under voltage lockout. It can also be used to control the current in the output stage, in order to enable the delivery of required current in the range of 10mA to 500mA. It uses latching features to turn ON the load, which results in minimized power dissipation.
