ISL6132IRZA supervisory integrated circuit (IC) is designed to monitor and provide overvoltage protection level for several voltage rails in power management systems. As a member of the PMIC family, the device offers solutions to monitor and protect systems from malfunction or damage due to overvoltage or overcurrent fault conditions. ISL6132IRZA incorporates several protection features that guarantee fast fault detection and reliable protection overvoltage duration and reactivation times.ISL6132IRZA is designed to interface with standard I/O,PWM modules and protect the system from overvoltage conditions. The device is capable of providing an overvoltage protection level (OVP) with a programmable delay for the system to recognize a fault before the protection kicks in. The OVP delay feature prevents false triggering of the protection mechanism. ISL6132IRZA has an adjustable threshold voltage level that can be programmed from 2.2V to 5.25V. Additional features include adjustable overcurrent protection (OCP) trip points, adjustable over-current reset level and programmable OCP delay.ISL6132IRZA operates as an analog-to-digital converter, providing an accurate reference voltage for the overvoltage (OVP) protection level. When a fault condition is detected, the device compares the input voltage against the threshold voltage level, and triggers the protection.
