The ISL6522CBZ-T offers advanced protection functions such as over temperature protection, soft start, and an adjustable slew rate control to limit the current drawn from the input for transient, surge operation. The device also provides current-limit protection, enabling the device to limit the output current to a pre-defined maximum and swiftly reduce the current to a safe level. In addition, the ISL6522CBZ-T includes an internal modulation frequency control to reduce switching losses from inefficient operation and an adjustable PWM ramp rate to reduce EMI/RFI broad-band emissions.

The ISL6522CBZ-T is a versatile device that is applicable in a wide range of applications including computing, industrial, automotive and communications systems. It can be used in high-current DC-DC converters, portable systems, distributed power architectures, motor control applications and LED lighting systems.
