JANTX1N4615UR-1 works on the principle of reverse-bias current injection (RBI). As soon as the voltage across the diode exceeds a preset level, the diode current increases exponentially until a maximum peak current level is reached. At this point, the reverse bias voltage has reached its so-called maximum "zener voltage" level, and current starts to flow steadily in the opposite direction. This equilibrium current is known as the "zener current" and it limits any further increase in the reverse bias voltage.
This process of reverse-bias current injection is used to maintain the set "zener voltage", thereby preventing any further increase in reverse bias voltage. The JANTX1N4615UR-1 also uses zener voltage regulation technology, which allows it to supply a constant voltage output regardless of fluctuations in the input voltage.
In addition to zener voltage regulation, the JANTX1N4615UR-1 also incorporates several other features, such as soft start and over-voltage protection, to make it suitable for a wide variety of applications.
