Working Principle
In the JANTX1N6107A, the PN junction consists of an intrinsic layer of semiconductor material between P- and N-type impurities. The intrinsic layer creates a high resistance barrier between the two types of materials. However, when sufficient voltage is present, the barrier will break or “breakdown”, allowing current to flow.
